After beating the tournament favorites New Zealand, West Indies will now set their eyes against Pakistan in the second match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on Friday, May 31.

The game will be played at the Trent Bridge Ground at Nottingham at 2:30 AM PDT and 2:30 PM PST.


West Indies defeated New Zealand by 91 runs, in their second warm-up match. Now they will look forward to winning against Pakistan in the second match of World Cup.

Windies are looking in great form as they give a blowing start for innings and ended up with 421 all out while on the other hand New Zealand didn’t do well and ended up 330 all out, West Indies batsman Shai Hope, did a great job and made 101 runs in 86 balls, which payed the victory for West Indies. Windies Sent a warning to Pakistan for their upcoming match with them.

“We’re building towards something special in the World Cup so to get this momentum going into the first game against Pakistan is key,” Windies captain Jason Holder said. “It’s really good to see the batsmen make full use of the surface.”

Pakistan XI:

Pakistan didn’t show good performance in their first warm-up game against Afghanistan. While on the other hand their second warm-up game was affected by rain. Pakistan will now be looking for winning in their first World Cup match, as they are consecutively beaten in 11 ODIs, Sarfaraz Ahmad also said: “England ground is good and we are happy to play here, and we will show good cricket here”.

Also, Waqar Younis said, “The bowling is moving in a good direction, with Wahab Riaz coming back into the side and Mohammad Amir restored. I am intrigued to see how Mohammad Amir gets on.”
If Pakistan wins from the beginning of the tournament, they can produce magic. Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq is also thinking positive for Pakistan as well as West Indies coach Mushtaq Ahmad also is in favor for Pakistan Team.
