Giving tough competition to Apple iTunes Radio, Samsung has launched Milk Music, which seems to be a smart approach to have a bite on the digital music world.

Surprisingly, it has found success with more than 11 million unique visitors using the services in the first three days. Samsung has ensured that Milk Music remains a free service for its users with no unwanted ads to disturb. As for now, Milk Music is only available in the US.

Whether it can beat Apple iTunes Radio is a question for a long time, but for now, Milk Music has been received well by the press and users alike.

This is being touted by many as the best and uncomplicated music streaming app in business, which certainly tells how Samsung has been trying to deal with issues with ad interruptions, ‘sign-up reticence’, or limited catalogs.

What you may not know is Samsung is currently using Slacker Radio streaming service for the Galaxy range, with a readymade catalog of 13 million music items, instead of building on the existing products.

Till now, it’s well known that Samsung was using UK’s 7 Digital, a third-party service provider.

Currently, Milk Music has been made available for Galaxy S4, S3, and Notes 2 and 3. It will be also available for S5 after its market launch.

For now, Apple doesn’t need to be worried, because Samsung can be a part of the digital music space, provided it manages to get these services global. Right now, it seems to be Samsung’s agenda to push the Galaxy series.
