Kannada film stars Raghu Mukherjee and Anu Prabhakar tied the knot in a private event in Bangalore today, April 25, 2016.
The wedding ceremony was conducted in a low note with the presence of dear friends and family members. The news of their marriage comes as a surprise, as nobody was aware that they are in a relationship.
Both the actors were married earlier, and they obtained respective divorces couple of years back. After the divorce, both the stars stood away from media, and their personal lives were maintained in a very confidential manner.
The romance between the stars were unknown till today. Their friendship was a known affair as Anu requested to vote for Raghu in ‘The Most Desirable Man’ contest conducted by Bangalore Times. In her request, she revealed that the duo were close friends.
Anu Prabhakar, aged 35 started her career as a child actress in the 1990s. She made her debut as a lead lady through the movie “Hrudaya Hrudaya” which had Superstar Shivarajkumar and Ramesh Aravind in the roles of male leads.
From then, she acted in more than 50 Kannada movies which include, “Snehaloka”, “Soorappa”, “Shrirasthu Shubhamasthu”, “Thavarige Baa Thangi” and “Aatagara”.
Raghu Mukherjee was the Mr India in 2002. Later, he entered Sandalwood through the flick, “Paris Pranaya” in 2003. For his role in ‘Savaari‘, he was nominated the Filmfare award for Best Actor in Kannada.
Raghu’s last release was “Jessie” which emerged as an average success in the Box Office. The film had Parul Yadav and Dhananjay in the lead roles. Raghu is also known for his expertise in hosting popular TV shows as well.
