ICAI- CPT exam dates released & IPC results published

Exam results

ICAI CPT exam 2016 will be held on December 18, 2016. The Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of lndia has notified the students that that the Common Proficiency Test is going to be held on Sunday, the 18th of December, 2016 in two sessions at the following centres.

This CPT will be conducted as per the provisions of Regulation 25 D (3) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988. The first session will be held from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM.

Candidates will have to fill up the examination application form available online at http:llicaiexam.icai.org or icai.nic.in.

This form will be made available from 6th October, 2016 (10.00 hrs) to 27th October, 2016 (17.30 hrs). The students will also have an option to pay the fees online.

Exam results

The format of the paper is such that Section A and section B will include Mercantile Laws. Sectio C will be General Economics and Section D Quantitative Aptitude.

The Second session (afternoon session) will be conducted from 2 Pm to 4 PM (IST). Candidates will also have the option of a Hindi question paper.

Following are some of the exam centres in India:

Agra, Ahmedabad, Ahmednagar, Ajmer, Aligarh, Allahabad, Alwar, Ambala, Amravati, Amritsar, Anantapur, Asansol, Aurangabad, Bareilly, Bhatinda and Belgaum.

The fee for candidates appearing in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai and Muscat centres will be $170 ($ 150- examination fee and $ 20- cost of application form and information brochure) or its equivalent in INR.

The fee for the candidates opting for Kathmandu centre is INR.18501. Exam fee- INR 8,501 and INR 10,000.

In another news, the IPC results were released today. Over two lakh students awaited the results. These are the results for the May exams.

The pass percentage recorded from November-2015 exams was 4.14%, while 12.72% had qualified from group-I and 10.69% from group-II.

The pass percentage according to the “exit polls” seems to be higher than that of last year.

Considered to be one of the toughest courses in the world, CA has been quite the rage for some time, now in the country.

Despite the high failure rate the drive to succeed keeps increase because of the level of competition. Considered as a major step to success in finance, CA is quite popular among students graduating high school.
