Poshan Maah: Smriti Irani’s Cycle Rally in Imphal

Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani lead the Poshan Cycle Rally and the Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh shared the video of the same on his Twitter. It was inspiring to see the Union Minister leading the cycle rally at the occasion of Poshan Maah 2021. In this video, she was seen riding a bicycle with some girls in a saree from Deputy Commissioner’s office at Bishnupur.

As per the reports of ANI, she also inaugurated the anemia screening camp at Bishnupur. She also expressed her gratitude towards all the Covid-19 warriors of Bishnupur and said that the Poshan rally is an initiative by the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi which is the combination of both Fit India and Suposhit India.

Centre’s Initiative for Anganwadis

She informed the media that the initiative by the Centre is to provide Anganwadi with health monitoring devices and smartphones for every Anganwadi worker. About ten lakhs of Anganwadi workers are given smartphones already. She further added that Prime Minister’s vision is to provide an insurance cover for all the anganwadis and also ensured the collaboration of eighteen ministers with the Poshan Abhiyan. Later in the day, she also flagged off the Poshan walk-a-thon from Moirang in Manipur.
