National Best Friend Day is celebrated every year on June 8 in the United States. On this day, people send greetings to their friends and exchange gifts. It is a day to acknowledge the role your best friends play in your life. The first Best Friend Day was proposed by the U.S. Congress in 1935. This day took place to offer a tribute to our closest friends. Since then, June 8 has been chosen as the National Best Friend Day and has given rise to numerous celebrations across the globe.
