This program is for thousands of homeowners in Schenectady County, New York. A rebate program offers $250 checks from a surplus in expected revenue from collecting sales tax over the last couple of years.

A program that will provide a total of $9 million in relief next year for every homeowner in this county to be distributed to nearly 34,500 people.

The state of New York will use the STAR program to determine a person’s eligibility for these $250 rebate checks. Folks who own homes, condos, apartments, manufactured homes, farmhouses, and mixed-use properties will be eligible to receive this rebate check.
