‘Pathan’ Day 16 Total Worldwide Box-office collection; ‘Pathaan’ inches close to Rs 900 Cr

Shahrukh Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham starrer Hindi action film “Pathaan” is going strong in its second week also.  The film is expected to have earned around Rs 6.7 crore on day 15.

This brings the total domestic collection of the film to Rs 452.9 crore nett approximately.

The film even passed the second Monday test with flying colors, earning Rs 15.7 crore and Rs 7.75 crore on Tuesday.

‘Pathaan’ audience response

“Pathaan” has already broken the “KGF: Chapter 2” record of Rs 434 crore in the Hindi market.

‘Pathaan’ beats ‘Tiger’ Zinda hai’ and ‘Dangal’

“Pathaan” has crushed several records in its journey to becoming the highest-grossing Bollywood film. It has beaten Salman Khan’s “Tiger Zinda Hai” (Rs 337 crore), and last week it raged past Aamir Khan’s “Dangal” (Rs 387 crore).

Deepika Padukone`s saffron bikini scene from action-thriller Pathaan has made it to the final cut even after getting mired in controversy.

The movie is now eyeing the all-time Hindi record of SS Rajamouli’s “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion,” which has a total collection of Rs 510 crore.

Globally, the film has also raked in astounding numbers and is expected to cross Rs 875 crore today. It has already crossed RR’s record of 14 million dollars (Rs 115 crore) in the US and Canada, reported The Indian Express.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the latest box-office figures of the film. He wrote,  #Pathaan will cross *lifetime biz* of #KGF2 #Hindi [2nd highest] today [Wed]… Big question: Will #Pathaan surpass #Baahubali2 #Hindi in the coming days?… [Week 2] Fri 13.50 cr, Sat 22.50 cr, Sun 27.50 cr, Mon 8.25 cr, Tue 7.50 cr. Barely two months into 2023, Pathaan has emerged as one of the year’s highest-grossing films, behind four Chinese films, including Full River Red, The Wandering Earth 2, Boonie Bears: Guardian Code, and Hidden Blade. By the third weekend, Pathaan is expected to cross Rs 900 crore.
