Pathaan“, Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback movie, has become a huge hit all over the globe. While it wouldn’t be incorrect to declare that this movie was the Hindi film industry’s game-changer during difficult times, early estimates indicate that the movie has now experienced a small decline. Day 43 is a working day and collections may see a drop.

‘Pathaan’ Day 42 Box Office Collection

Despite spending more than a month in theaters, “Pathaan” is a financial smash at the box office. The movie became a huge hit and altered Bollywood’s course. Early estimates indicate that SRK- Deepika starrer slowed down a little after earning around Rs 1036 crore at the worldwide box office. The movie made roughly Rs 0.72 crore across every language on Day 41.

Trade analyst gave insights on the latest box-office number of the film; he wrote on his Twitter handle, “#Pathaan witnesses an upward trend on [sixth] Tue due to partial holiday… Collects ₹ 1 cr+ yet again… [Week 6] Fri 1.05 cr, Sat 2.05 cr, Sun 2.55 cr, Mon 75 lacs, Tue 1.25 cr. Total: ₹ 518.30 cr.

The movie has been playing successfully in theaters for over a month, but this is still a respectable figure. Around 2 crores more are expected to be collected between today and tomorrow, which should enable the movie to surpass Rs 520 crores before preparing to start its seventh weekend.

‘Pathaan’ Surpassed ‘Bahubali 2’

“Pathaan” has even outperformed Baahubali 2 regarding Hindi box office revenue. Shah Rukh Khan’s movie has amassed nearly Rs 540 crores in total box office receipts, with the Hindi adaptation coming in at about Rs 518 crores.

The success of this film at the box office both locally and internationally has partially helped revive the flagging Hindi film industry internationally.

In the past few years, Bollywood had only been able to produce a small number of blockbusters, including the successors of “Bhool Bhulaiya 2” and “Drishyam 2”. The movie is important because it represents Shah Rukh Khan’s return to performing after a hiatus of more than four years.

After releasing movie office flops like “Jab Harry Met Sejal” and “Zero” back to back, Khan took a break, reports India Today.
