Instagram rolls out GIF comments worldwide

Instagram users can now add GIFs to comments on posts and Reels worldwide. The feature was first spotted in February in an apparent test, and it appeared for a few users at the time. Now, it’s available to everyone.

To use GIFs in comments, open Instagram and tap on the comment box. You’ll see a new GIF button on the right side of the box. Tap on it to open Giphy’s library of GIFs. You can browse through the library or search for a specific GIF. Once you find a GIF you like, tap on it to add it to your comment.

GIFs can be a fun way to add personality to your comments. They can also be used to express emotions or reactions that are difficult to convey with text alone. For example, you could use a GIF of a laughing cat to express amusement or a GIF of a crying face to express sadness.

In addition to adding GIFs to comments, Instagram is also rolling out new editing capabilities for Reels. With the latest update, you’ll be able to split a video, adjust the speed of your clip, or replace a clip in your Reel without affecting the other clips. These new tools will be released globally in the next few weeks.

Finally, Instagram is also launching Gifts in India. Gifts are virtual items that can be purchased with Stars, which are virtual currency that can be bought in the Instagram app. While watching Reels, a user can send a gift to a creator, who receives a portion of the revenue from the sale of the Stars.

These new features are a way for Instagram to keep its platform fresh and engaging. They also help creators to connect with their fans in new and exciting ways.
