‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ Review and Box Office Collections Report

Superstar Salman’s Khan much awaited Hindi movie “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” was released in theatres in India and worldwide amidst huge expectations on November 12, 2015.

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” is a film that boasts of family values.

Salman Khan plays “Prem”, a character that the actor has claimed to be close to his heart. This is also after a long time that he is playing a dual role in the film.

Alongside Salman, the film also stars Sonam Kapoor as his love interest. Other important characters have been played by Swara Bhaskar, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Anupam Kher and Armaan Kohli.

Reportedly, the film has been made on a massive scale, and an enormous chunk of the investment has been recovered from television and music rights.

The screen count of “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” is massive, with more than 4500 screens in India and around 800 screens overseas. The film will have a screen count of 5300+ worldwide.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted on Twitter, “#PremRatanDhanPayo screen count… India: 4500+ screens… Overseas: 800 screens. Worldwide: 5300+ screens. WOW!”

The first-day collections of “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” are expected to be huge, given the Diwali Festivities. The film will also get benefited from the 4-day long weekend.

Box office collections around be anywhere between 100-120 crores for the first 3 days.

Early reviews suggested that the film has scored mainly because of Salman’s presence but has a weak story. The music of the film is also being appreciated.
