Raman Raghav 2.0 story revolves around a psychopath killer who operated in Mumbai in the mid 1960’s. The horrendous crime of the serial killer is well played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The real life killer confessed of his crime and committed of murdering 41 people.

The movie is directed by Anurag Kashyap and is jointly produced under the banner of Phantom Films by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl.

Whereas Anurag Kashyap and Vasan Bala have collaborated to write the screenplay and story of this dark movie. The film also got an amazing reception at the Cannes Director’s fortnight on 16th May 2016.

The plot:

The film story revolves around the psychopath killer Raman played brilliantly by Nawazuddin Siddiqui who is obsessed by Raghav played by Vicky Kaushal who plays the cop investigating the murder created by the serial killer. Vipin Sharma, Sobhita Dhulipala, Amruta Subhash and Ashok Lokhande performance have also clearly left a mark felt in the mind of the audience.

But what really makes this movie different from all its counterpart are that the movie is entirely dark. The two main protagonists are so chilling in their role as criminals that as the movie progresses it clearly makes you forget that one is playing the role of the cop while the other is a killer.

The director who have given us films like That Girl in Yellow Boot and Ugly have taken a step further in this dark thrilling story set in modern-day Mumbai. The movie shoot in the budget of 3.5 crore have used guerrilla filmmaking technique to shoot some of the most prominent scenes in real location of Mumbai.

Raman Raghav have so far received good reviews by both the critics and audiences who have watched the movie. As per reports it’s said that the opening day have seen some good turnouts and on some online circuits the ticket has already been sold out for the first day first show.

But this movie is definitely not for the fainthearted or the people who believe at some glimpse of sunshine at the end. It’s a movie that takes you on a journey of psychopath who roams on the street of Mumbai with a iron rod and kills innocent people without any remorse. But there is no comfort in knowing that the cop has been assigned to investigate

But there is no comfort in knowing that the cop has been assigned to investigate on this murder. As Vicky Kaushal plays a man in uniform but whose all activities indicate the making of a serial killer.

But what really stands for the movie is that Anurag Kashyap has drawn no line between the cop and the criminal. In his own way of depicting cinema and his take on society with this latest movie will scare the hell out of the audience.
