New Mexico Rebate Program

Residents of New Mexico who meet the deadline for filing their state taxes by May 31, 2024 can benefit from a rebate program. Joint filers, heads of family, and surviving spouses receive $1,000 with single and married persons filing separately receiving $500. The taxpayers will receive the payments automatically once the tax returns are processed.

Arizona’s Families Tax Rebate

Arizona’s Families Tax Rebate is to 743,000 residents and has been included in Arizona’s 2024 budget.

The program pays $250 for each dependent under the age of 17 with other dependents being compensated $100 with pay based upon 2021 tax returns. Those receiving the payments will do so from as early as November.

Eligible taxpayers may claim $500 for each child under the age of six or a child with disabilities. This initiative is part of Governor Wes Moore’s broader strategy to reduce in child poverty which is expected to reach around 40,000 residents across the state.

One-Time Child Tax Credit of California

California’s 2024 budget also provides for that one-time child tax credit of up to $3,600 per qualifying child and young child tax credit of up to $1,083 for families with children under six who qualify for the California earned income tax credit.
