Dada Saheb Phalke awardee superstar Rajnikanth was hospitalized at Chennai’s Kauvery hospital after he went there for his routine check-up. Though the 70-year old actor’s team said that he went for an outline check-up, some of his reports were unclear.
Speaking with PTI, Rajinikanth’s publicist Riaz K Ahmed said, “It is a health check-up done routinely on a periodical basis. He is now in a private hospital for the check-up.”

The Times of India reported, “Rajinikanth underwent a procedure on Friday to get blocks removed from the major blood vessel – carotid artery — on the neck that supplies blood to the brain, neck, and face. Kauvery Hospital said that the 71-year-old matinee icon is recovering well and is likely to be discharged from the hospital after a few days.”
In December 2020, Rajinikanth was hospitalized at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad after ‘severe blood pressure fluctuations.’ The Hindustan Times quoted Apollo issuing a statement, “His blood pressure showed severe fluctuations and needed further evaluation for which he has been admitted to the hospital.
“He will be investigated and monitored closely in the hospital till his blood pressure settles down before being discharged. Apart from fluctuating blood pressure and exhaustion, he does not have any other symptoms and is hemodynamically stable.”

Actor Rajinikanth was bestowed with the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award on Monday, October 25, 2021. He received this prestigious award from Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu for his mind-boggling contribution to Indian cinema.
The veteran actor who worked as a bus conductor dedicated this award to his old bus driver friend, who suggested joining the film industry. He also dedicated this award to his brother Sathyanarayana Rao Gaikwad, a father figure in his life. He raised Rajnikanth with great values and inculcated spirituality in him.
The actor attended this function in a simple white kurta-pajama. He was accompanied by his wife Latha, daughter Aishwarya, and son-in-law Dhanush, a well-known name in the film industry.

The South actor also met President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi.
Release of his movie ‘Annaatthe.’
The movie “Anaatthe,” scheduled to release on November 4, was postponed several times due to the production delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic. This movie is directed by Siva. “Annaatthe” film also stars actors like Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Khushboo, and Prakash Raj.
