The United States federal government had issued stimulus checks during the pandemic. The low and medium-income families are getting these checks till now.. But the government is arguing against 4th stimulus payment sent by Internal Revenue Services. People have received three stimulus checks, but they won’t receive the fourth one.
Reasons for not giving out the 4th check
Rising inflation is one of the reasons for not giving these checks. At this time in the United States of America, the inflation rate is 7.2%, recorded in January 2022. Compared to March 2021, when inflation was 2.6%, inflation rose by 4.6%. Some people believe that providing stimulus checks is one of the reasons for inflation. The stimulus checks were given at the time when the pandemic hit the world. The economy was stagnant at that time. The unemployment rate earlier pandemic was 3.7%. But after the pandemic hit the world, it got down to 3.8% in February 2022.
The annual inflation rate for the U.S. is 7.5% — the highest since Feb. 1982, according to U.S. Labor Department data published Feb. 10.

But, there is also a piece of good news as America is getting back on the economy. Several people are earning an income now, which reduced the need for another stimulus check. Many Americans are still in financial distress.

Politicians refusing to give out checks
The politicians are another reason for stopping the checks. Some give the above reasons for stopping the checks and others have their views. Amid Ukraine and the Russian war, the gas prices raised severely. But even before this, the politicians were calling to stop the fourth stimulus checks. Also, the opposition party “The Democrats” joined “The Republicans” in being against the idea. Because the majority was against bringing the 4th stimulus check, it was known that it’ll be impossible to pass it.
