Mukesh Ambani & Son Ananth Contribute $25 Million To Assam Flood Relief

To aid those suffering from the disastrous floods in Assam, billionaire Mukesh Ambani and his son Anant contributed 25 crores to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). The managing director of Reliance Industries Limited was praised by chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his donation of 25 crore rupees to the chief minister’s relief fund (CMRF).

He expressed his sincere appreciation to Mukesh and Anant Ambani on Twitter for supporting the Assamese people at this pivotal time by contributing 25 crores to the CM Relief Fund. He appreciates this kind of action. This will significantly improve flood relief efforts.

The Dalai Lama, a religious leader from Tibet, is among the well-known figures who have contributed to the relief effort. Oil India Limited (OIL) contributed Rs. 5 crores, while the Dalai Lama gave Rs. 10 lakh from his Gaden Phodrang Trust.

Bhushan Kumar, the owner as well as producer of the T-series, donated 11 lakh rupees, and popular singer Sonu Nigam gave 5 lakh rupees to the CMRF.

Arjun Kapoor, a Bollywood actor, and Rohit Shetty, a filmmaker, have each donated 5 lakh to the CMRF.

Massive flooding in Assam is directly impacting over 46 million people and has claimed 108 deaths this year so far. In keeping with its humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) mission in Assam and Meghalaya, the Indian Air Force (IAF) stated Sunday that it transported an estimated 96 tonnes of relief supplies on Saturday (June 25) utilizing aerial vehicles (June 26).

The IAF claims that as of June 21 they had been carrying out flood rescue missions in Assam and Meghalaya. In order to continue its disaster relief missions in Assam and Meghalaya, the IAF made considerable use of the C-130, An-32, Mi-17V5, Mi-171V, Mi-17s, and ALH aircraft, as reported by NDTV.
