Pitch report:

Sanjay Manjrekar says the pitch has an even grass covering, so expect it to play true. Wasim Akram reckons there should be more carry for the seamers, and the team winning the toss should look to bowl first.

Towards the end of the pitch report, Manjrekar slips in a piece of advice: If India wants to play three spinners, they might have to rethink. But as I said earlier, India doesn’t have another seamer in the squad. Does he want them to play an extra batter, then?
