Ben Platt and Noah Galvin announce their engagement on social media

Ben Platt and Noah Galvin have recently got engaged. The duo has announced their engagement through Instagram. The post features the couple’s best moments, including the engagement ring. The caption on Ben Platt’s post stated,

“he agreed to hang out forever.” Noah Galvin’s post stated,

“I said yeehaw and then cried for like 7 hours.”

In November 2017, Galvin was announced as his replacement after Platt stepped down from the titular role in the Tony-winning musical. Since that moment, the duo developed a close friendship, and this soon changed into a romantic relationship.

The couple officially announced their relationship status in May 2020 when Galvin appeared in a podcast, Little Known Facts, with Ilana Levine. While speaking to Kelly Clarkson, Platt said,

“We were friends for five years, and right before the pandemic, we finally decided to give it a shot. We skated around it for a long time.”

While speaking to Out magazine last year, Platt said he found a partner he loves. He also noted that Galvin could help him present where he is and take his life extraordinary. Platt posted a tribute on the occasion of Galvin’s birthday on Instagram and captioned it,

“happy birthday, my guy. You’re the most special gift the universe has ever whipped up. Thank goodness you were born. I love you so much.”

Ben Platt began his acting career in musical theater as a child. He appeared in productions of ‘The Sound of Music and ‘The Book of Mormon, rising to prominence for originating the title role in Broadway coming-of-age musical ‘Dear Evan Hansen.’ In 2017, Platt signed with Atlantic Records and released his debut album, ‘Sing to Me Instead,’ in March 2019. Later on, Platt’s second studio album, ‘Reverie,’ was released on August 13, 2021.

Noah Galvin has appeared in films like ‘Promised Land, ‘Welcome to the Wayne,’ ‘Assassination Nation, ‘And Booksmart alongside some TV shows like ‘The Weekend Detectives,’ ‘The Real O’Neals,’ ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race, ‘The Owl House,’ ‘The Good Doctor, and many more.
