“Pathaan” registered the biggest-ever opening for a Hindi film in India and worldwide, and it seems like the second-day collections of the film have set a new record. As per Trade analysts, the film collected approximately Rs 70 crore nett on Thursday, a holiday on Republic Day.
On Thursday, YRF celebrated “the biggest opening day in the history of Hindi cinema worldwide gross” with Rs 106 crore. Pathaan earned Rs 57 crore nett on its opening day, which was a working day.
The steep rise on the second day was mainly due to the national holiday, and with an extended weekend coming up, it seems like “Pathaan” will only see an increase in its day-to-day collection.

The Guardian wrote, “The increasingly daft plot pings around the globe like a Bond or Mission: Impossible. Khan delivers a performance with perfect levels of fun, and light on Bond-ish psychological flaws, playing it instead with a wink here, a joke there. (There’s a funny line about him going to the hairdressers to get a blow dry.)
“So, Khan clearly takes his training seriously; he’s impossibly ripped, and his personal trainer probably deserves to share his credits and a chunk of his fee here.”

“Pathaan” crossed the Rs 100 crore benchmark worldwide on the opening day itself. The film is now the fastest Bollywood film to reach Rs 100 crore net in India (2 days).
