Apple rolls out iOS 16.4: Tips and tricks for using the new features

Apple has just released iOS 16.4, the latest update for its mobile operating system. This update brings a lot of new features and improvements to your iPhone and iPad devices.

Here are some of the highlights of what’s new in iOS 16.4.

– FaceTime SharePlay:

You can now watch movies, listen to music, and play games with your friends over FaceTime. SharePlay lets you share your screen and audio with up to 32 people in FaceTime. You can also use Picture-in-Picture to keep watching or listening while using other apps on your device.

– Safari Tab Groups:

You can now organize your tabs in Safari into groups and sync them across your devices. Tab Groups let you easily switch between different sets of tabs for different tasks or topics. You can also customize the appearance of your tabs with icons and colors.

– Live Text:

You can now interact with text in photos and screenshots. Live Text lets you copy, paste, translate, or look up information from any text you see on your camera or in your photos app. You can also use Live Text to dial a phone number, open a website, or get directions from an address in a photo.

– Focus:

You can now set different modes for different times of the day or activities. Focus lets you choose which notifications and apps you want to see on your device. You can also create custom Focus modes and share them with your contacts.

For example, you can create a Work Focus mode that only allows work-related notifications and apps, and a Personal Focus mode that only allows personal notifications and apps.

– iCloud+ Private Relay:

You can now browse the web more privately and securely with iCloud+. Private Relay encrypts and anonymizes your internet traffic, so no one can see what websites you visit or where you are located. Private Relay is included with any iCloud storage plan at no extra cost.
– And more: iOS 16.4 also includes other new features and improvements, such as:

– App Library:

You can now access all your apps from the App Library on your home screen. App Library automatically organizes your apps into categories and shows you the most recently used ones.

– Widgets: You can now add widgets to your home screen and customize them with different sizes and layouts. Widgets let you see information and perform actions from your favorite apps without opening them.

– Translate:

You can now translate text and speech in real time with the Translate app. Translate supports over 50 languages and dialects, and works offline as well.

– Maps: You can now explore more places and get more accurate directions with Maps. Maps features new 3D views, interactive guides, immersive walking directions, and improved transit information.

– Siri: You can now use Siri offline for basic tasks such as setting timers, opening apps, or controlling music. Siri also sounds more natural and expressive with neural text-to-speech technology.

These are just some of the new features and improvements in iOS 16.4. To get the update, go to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone or iPad.

Ensure you have enough battery life and a stable Wi-Fi connection before updating.
