The New Release

The Final Fantasy games are now arriving on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch after being initially launched on PC and mobile devices in 2022. They will be offered for digital purchase, either individually or as a collection that includes Final Fantasy I through VI.

Square Enix decided to correct fonts to commemorate the release of the games on PS4 and Switch later this month.

As per GEMATSU, a menu option called “Change Fonts” will allow players to choose between the default font and a new pixel-based font that mimics the look and feel of the original games, among other new features like the ability to toggle between the original and rearranged soundtracks and turning off random encounters.

 Purchasing the games

The Switch version is currently available for pre-order. If the game is purchased by May 25, 2023, customers get two wallpapers with different themes for each game. To receive all 12 themed Wallpapers, fans can buy the “Final Fantasy I – VI Bundle,” which includes the whole series.

The PlayStation 4 version will be released later. Fans will receive a theme and avatar for each game they buy digitally on the PlayStation 4 between April 20, 2023, and May 25, 2023.

Every theme and avatar provided with the individual games are included for players who buy the whole series in the “Final Fantasy I – VI Bundle”—a total of six themes and six avatars.
