Social Security April 2023 Payment Calendar: Important Dates and Deadlines

Social Security COLA Nov. 2022 Payment Schedule

If you are receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits, you may be wondering when you will get your payment for April 2023. The answer depends on how you receive your benefits and what day of the month you were born.

According to the Social Security Administration (SSA), SSI payments are usually made on the first of each month. However, if the first falls on a weekend or a holiday, the payment will be made on the previous business day.

For April 2023, the first of the month is on a Saturday so SSI payments will be made on Friday, March 31. This applies to people who receive benefits by direct deposit, Direct Express debit card or check.

For April 2023, the third of the month is on a Monday, so SSI payments for people born on or after the 20th will be made on that day. This also applies to people who receive their benefits by direct deposit, Direct Express debit card or check.
