ICC World Cup 2015 Points Table and Quarter-Final Fixtures

The ICC Cricket World cup 2015 has now reached exciting phase as all the top teams have almost made it to the last eight.

With defending champions India with five straight wins this season are right on top from Pool B with 12 points. Close to them from the same group are South Africa with four wins from six games at six points.

Strangely Pakistan who without a doubt a dangerous side are at the third place with six points and are tied with Ireland. Pakistan lost three of their five games.

Quarter final fixturees

From Pool A, hosts New Zealand are right on top with 12 points. Even they have won all their six matches like India. Co-hosts Australia lost one match and split points with Bangladesh to stay in the second spot with nine points.

Sri Lanka with eight points and Bangladesh with seven points are at the third and fourth place respectively.

Only one quarter-final clash has been confirmed as of now which is between the team topping pool B and last from Pool A.

India will clash with Bangladesh at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on MArch 19. The day/night match will start at 9:00 a.m. India time. Check the complete fixtures with date and time here.

The rules of the last eight phase is: If any quarter-final match is tied or has no result, the team which finished in the top position during the Pool stage will go thru to the semi-finals.

The first match of the qrt-final will be played on March 18 between Sri Lanka and the team with the third spot from Pool B.

2015 quarter-final fixtures:

Sri Lanka vs South Africa will be the first quarter-final.

Pakistan vs Australia will be the third quarter-final to be played at Adelaide on March 20.

Fourt quarter-final will be played between New Zealand vs West Indies on March 21.
