Linda Yaccarino Might Become New Twitter CEO

Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, claimed on Thursday, May 11, to have hired a new chief executive officer (CEO) to lead the social networking site he purchased last year.

The Announcement

Elon Musk said on Thursday that he had appointed a successor to lead Twitter and its newly titled X Corporation parent company. Just weeks after taking over as CEO of the social media behemoth, Twitter users voted in a non-scientific referendum in December to remove owner Musk from his position. Musk committed to maintaining his promise to do so.

For the management of Twitter, Musk has drawn criticism for diverting his focus from his roles as CEO of Tesla and SpaceX. But as per analysts, it seems like he’s “finally reading the room” in regards to “this Twitter nightmare” and the “impossible task” of juggling operating Twitter, Tesla, and SpaceX.

The New Boss

As per The Times Of India, NBC Universal’s head of advertising Linda Yaccarino is vying to become the future CEO of Twitter.

Since 2011, Yaccarino has worked at NBC Universal. She is now the chairwoman for partnerships and worldwide advertising. She had previously worked for the business in the cable entertainment and internet advertising sales section.

Yaccarino has spent 19 years working for Turner, where she most recently held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for advertising sales, marketing, and acquisitions.

She graduated from Penn State University, majoring in communications and liberal arts.

Recently at an advertising convention in Miami last month, Yaccarino spoke with Musk. Yaccarino encouraged the crowd to applaud Musk and praised his work ethic during the conference.
