Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has reportedly gotten engaged to his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez. The couple, who have been dating since 2018, were spotted wearing matching rings on their left hands while attending the Cannes Film Festival in France this week.
A source close to the couple confirmed the engagement to CNN, saying that Bezos proposed to Sanchez on his $500 million superyacht, Koru, while the couple was sailing around the Mediterranean Sea.
Bezos, 59, and Sanchez, 53, have been relatively private about their relationship, but they have made a few public appearances together in recent years. In 2019, they were photographed attending the Wimbledon Men’s Singles Final together.
Bezos was previously married to MacKenzie Scott, with whom he has four children. The couple divorced in 2019, with Bezos receiving a 49% stake in Amazon as part of the settlement.
Sanchez is a former television anchor and helicopter pilot. She is also the ex-wife of Patrick Whitesell, a Hollywood talent agent.
Bezos and Sanchez have not yet announced a wedding date.
