India Announces T20 Squad for West Indies Tour, Hardik Pandya Captain

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s T20 squad for the upcoming tour of West Indies. The squad is led by Hardik Pandya and features a mix of experienced and young players.

The squad includes:

  • Hardik Pandya (captain)
  • Ishan Kishan (wicket-keeper)
  • Shubman Gill
  • Yashasvi Jaiswal
  • Tilak Varma
  • Suryakumar Yadav (vice-captain)
  • Sanju Samson (wicket-keeper)
  • Hardik Pandya
  • Axar Patel
  • Yuzvendra Chahal
  • Kuldeep Yadav
  • Ravi Bishnoi
  • Arshdeep Singh
  • Avesh Khan
  • Umran Malik

The tour will consist of three T20Is and as many ODIs, starting from July 22 in the Caribbean.

The key players in the squad are:

  • Hardik Pandya: The all-rounder will lead the side in the absence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He will be looking to continue his good form in the T20 format.
  • Ishan Kishan: The wicket-keeper batsman has been in good form in the IPL, and he will be hoping to carry that form into the international arena.
  • Shubman Gill: The young batsman has been in and out of the team in recent times, but he will be looking to cement his place in the side with a good performance in the West Indies.
  • Yashasvi Jaiswal: The young batsman has impressed everyone with his performances in the IPL, and he will be looking to make his mark on the international stage.
  • Tilak Varma: The young batsman has been in excellent form in the IPL, and he will be looking to continue his good run in the West Indies.
  • Suryakumar Yadav: The experienced batsman will be looking to lead the batting attack in the absence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
  • Hardik Pandya: The all-rounder will be looking to continue his good form in the T20 format. He will be the key to India’s success in the West Indies.

The tour is expected to be a challenging one for India, as the West Indies are a strong T20 side. However, India has a good squad, and they will be confident of doing well in the West Indies.

Kraigg Brathwaite to lead the  announced 18 men preparatory squad . Kraigg Brathwaite has scored 30 tons in the first class cricket and has been given the opportunity two lead the 4  time world champions in this format of the game. India who has announced their squad earlier this month , saw many of its player onboard for the West Indian Islands While west Indies are still playing ICC cricket World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe. The players are yet to join the team camp which begins on 30 June in Antiga. Players like Jermaine Blackwood, Joshua D'Silva have been given a place in the 18-member squad announced by Cricket West Indies. At the same time, Jason Holder, Kyle Meyers, Alzarri Joseph and Rosten Chase have been kept out of the team.A After the camp, the team will go to Dominica on 9th July. The first Test is to be played from 12 July. Meanwhile, many Indian players have also left for the West Indies for the series.
