$500 Monthly Checks Could Be Coming to Low-Income Texas Residents

Washington residents may be eligible for a rebate of unclaimed money and property from the state. The Department of Revenue is holding onto over $1.8 billion in unclaimed funds, and the average claim is worth about $131.

To check if you have any unclaimed property, you can visit the Department of Revenue’s website: https://ucp.dor.wa.gov/

You can also search for your name on the Unclaimed.org website: https://unclaimed.org/search

The deadline to file a claim for unclaimed property is October 31, 2023. So if you think you might have some unclaimed money or property, be sure to check soon!

Here are some additional details about the rebate program:

  • The rebate will be in the form of a check or direct deposit.
  • The checks will be mailed out in the fall of 2023.
  • The amount of your rebate will depend on the amount of unclaimed property you have.
