The second game of the Chess World Cup 2023 Final between India’s Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa and Norway’s Magnus Carlsen will take place on Thursday, August 24, at 3 pm GMT. The game will be played at the Shamkir Chess Palace in Shamkir, Azerbaijan.

“Praggnanandhaa played very well today,” said former world champion Garry Kasparov. “He was very aggressive and put Carlsen under a lot of pressure. I think he has a good chance of winning the match.”

Indian chess grandmaster Viswanathan Anand also praised Praggnanandhaa’s performance. “He played very maturely,” said Anand. “He didn’t take any unnecessary risks and played very solid chess.”

The second game of the Chess World Cup final will be played on Wednesday, August 24 at 15:00 CET. The match will be played over 14 classical games, with a tiebreak if necessary.
