Adani's Mega Port Attracts World's Largest Ships to India

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd owns Vizhinjam Port on the beautiful coast of Kerala. It is developed by (SEZ Ltd.) in collaboration with the local government.

When the heavy cargo ship Zhenhua 15, sailing from the East China Sea, unloaded cargo at Vizhinjam port on Sunday, it did more than install the facility’s first large crane.

This will also put India on the world’s largest cruise ship map. Vizhinjam transshipment container port, the first near the southern tip of India, will be opened on October 15.

This port, which enabled India to get a larger share of international maritime trade, is now under China’s domination.

It will also increase hopes of becoming another manufacturing hub by reducing transportation costs for goods moving in and out of the country.

The new terminal will be another item in the hat of the Gautam Adani Group, which faced a major threat after the short-selling raid in 2013.

A month of abuse accusations – charges that Adani Group denies. Vizhinjam, which already has ports, mines, airports, and power plants, will further strengthen the billionaire’s authority as India’s infrastructure king.

Its proximity to international transport, which accounts for 30% of international transport, and its sea water elevation of 24 meters above sea level make Vizhinjam the best location for the world’s largest ship.

Until now, the largest ships were passing through India because Indian ports were not deep enough to accommodate the ships and could call in neighboring places such as Colombo, Dubai and Singapore.

Transshipment refers to the delivery of goods from the first ship to another mother ship in the port, on their way to their final destination.

Located on the beautiful coast of Kerala, the eagerly awaited deep sea port is being developed by Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited in collaboration with the Government in the city.

Adani Ports, India’s largest private port operator with a 30% market share, is also developing an Israeli port in Haifa and plans to establish a hub in Vietnam as part of expanding its global footprint.
