Netflix will further extend one of its highly beloved film series with the revelation made in June 2023 that Chris Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as Tyler Rake in “Extraction 3.”
Sam Hargrave has remained a consistent presence throughout the series, directing both the initial and subsequent films launched in April 2020 and June 2023.
Originally premiered in 2020, Extraction represents one of Netflix’s substantial forays into the high-budget action film category. The announcement of Extraction 3 was initially made during Netflix’s TUDUM event held live in June 2023.
Chris Hemsworth is set to reprise his character as Tyler Rake. Considering the persisting strikes in Hollywood and the prevailing ambiguity surrounding the project’s advancement, a release timeframe for the third installment is likely to be late 2024 or in 2025, as per a report in WhatsOnNetflix.
Probably, other significant contributors such as director Sam Hargrave and writer Joe Russo will make a return. However, nothing has been confirmed officially.
