The latest example of the phenomenon was recently witnessed on Tendulkar’s trip to Jammu & Kashmir’s Pahalgam. A fan got emotional on meeting Tendulkar, his idol, and went on to narrate how much he adored the Indian cricket icon.

The fan told Sachin that he also wrote a book on him before recalling the day when the Master Blaster retired from the game. The fan revealed he cried all night after Sachin retired from cricket describing his love for the former India batter.

“Jis din aapne retirement liya aapne do aasu bahaye lekin maine puri raat aasu bahaye,” the fan can be heard telling Tendulkar in the video. He couldn’t control his emotions on meeting Tendulkar and told him that it was one of the best days of his life as he always wished to meet the Master Blaster. Tendulkar, who remains associated with cricket even after retirement, will continue in his role as a mentor for Mumbai Indians in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
