'Kagaaz 2' review: A father's battle to bring her daughter justice

Inspired by true events, “Kaagaz 2” stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Satish Kaushik, and Neena Gupta in lead roles and is directed by V.K. Prakash. The film releases today, March 1.

Overview of ‘Kagaaz 2’

The movie stars Darshan Kumaar in the role of Uday Raj Singh, who has to quit from Indian Military Academy because of indiscipline. Along the way, he gets to meet his father Raj Narayan (played by Anupam Kher), who abandoned him and his mother, Radhika (played by Neena Gupta).

His father is a lawyer. Determined to avoid his father and not forgive him for his lack of duty towards his family, Uday gets moved when he sees his father fighting a court case on behalf of Mr. Rastogi (Late Satish Kaushik). Mr. Rastogi has lost her beloved daughter during a political rally and is set on a mission to bring her daughter justice.

The scenes between Uday and his father promise melodramatic moments, whereas the courtroom scenes are filled with tense and gripping narratives.

The last monologue, delivered by Satish Kaushik, wraps up the narrative and resonates with the audience. Neena Gupta, Anang Desai, and Kiran Kumar shine in their roles. The pivotal roles are played by Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik.

A movie that approaches human rights violation

The movie will resonate with the audience, especially those who have been on the same page and experienced human rights violations.

There are some intense and heartfelt scenes during the later half of the film that are bound to make the audience emotional. In addition to that, considering that this was the last film by veteran actor Satish Kaushik is enough to make you go and book the tickets for ‘Kagaaz 2’ today itself!
