‘Crew’ Review: Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Tabu Star in Cool Heist Movie

Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, ‘Crew’ features an ensemble cast, including Tabu, Kareena Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in key roles. The film releases this March 29 but the anticipation for the film is quite high, as the film has managed to secure ₹70.18 for advance booking, Day 1.
Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor are the co-producers of the film and have previously worked together in the 2018 film ‘Veere di Wedding.’

Plot of ‘Crew’

The film revolves around three women and is a cool heist movie. The official synopsis read – “The story follows three hard-working women as their destinies lead to some unwarranted situations and end up caught in a web of lies.”

While speaking of the movie, Kareena said in an interview – “It’s really a cool space of comedy, heist and typical commercial masala film with three women in the lead. As an actor, I love to do things that are a little extra challenging, pushing me to step out of my comfort zone.”

Trade expert Taran Adarsh states – “Because I have watched the film, I believe it will work at the box office. I loved the women-power and more power to them. I just hope that it ‘re-ignites’ the trend. In the film, the performances by all actors are of high order. Also, at the same time, it has a very smart running time of two hours and three minutes.”

Producer Girish Johar said – “The expectations of the film are quite good. The best part was that the trailer and the reprised version of the song ‘Choli Ke Peeche’ was well received and has set a very good traction for the film.”

Tabu, Kareena and Kriti boosted the anticipation amongst the audience by posting exclusive, unseen BTS photos and videos on their social media accounts, participating in the countdown of (hopefully) one of the highest-grossing films of the year 2024.
