Mrunal Thakur, a prominent figure in Indian cinema, has candidly discussed the challenges she faces with intimate scenes and their influence on her career choices. Despite the commercial stumble of ‘Family Star,’ her talent continues to shine.
Career Reflections
Mrunal’s journey in the film industry is marked by her deep immersion into her roles, creating enchanting narratives on screen.
Intimate Scene Challenges
She has turned down roles that required intimate scenes, which led to missed opportunities, but she stands firm on her principles.
“I was not comfortable doing scenes which were intimate, like romantically. I would just get scared, I’d just say no to a film, but how long could I say no? There was a point I had to sit down with my parents and tell them ‘Papa, I cannot miss a part because sometimes it’s there, it’s not my choice.'” The actress in the same interview further added,” As much as I wanted to do a film, I had to drop because there was a kissing scene involved. As an actor, you need to be ready because sometimes that’s the demand (of the scene). If you are not comfortable, you can tell, you can talk about it but I kept missing out on films because of that.” She said.
Parental Guidance
A heartfelt discussion with her parents helped her navigate the complexities of her profession regarding intimate scenes.
Upcoming Projects
Mrunal is set to appear in ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ and has several exciting projects lined up, including ‘Vishwambara,’ ‘Baahubali: Before the Beginning,’ and ‘STR48.’
