India T20 World Cup Squad, Schedule/Fixture; Ind vs Pak Match Date Revealed

India has officially announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, with Rohit Sharma as captain and Hardik Pandya as his deputy. 

The team boasts a solid top order featuring Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, and Sanju Samson, with Pant leading as the primary wicketkeeper and Samson as the backup.

The all-rounder slots are filled by Pandya, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel, providing balance and depth to the squad. The spin attack will be spearheaded by leg-spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, while the pace battery is led by Jasprit Bumrah, accompanied by Arshdeep Singh and Mohammad Siraj.

Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed, and Rinku Singh have been named as traveling reserves, ready to step in when needed.

India’s campaign will kick off against Ireland on June 5th, 2024, at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. This will be followed by a highly anticipated clash with Pakistan on June 9th at the same venue. The team will also face the USA and Canada on June 12th and 15th.
