Malayalam actress Revathy Sampath Sexual Assault Case: Siddique Files Police Complaint

Malayalam Actor Siddique has initiated legal action against junior artist Revathy Sampath, who raised sexual assault allegations against him.

In a complaint submitted to the Director General of Police, Siddique refuted the accusations, asserting that he had met Revathy in the presence of her parents. The actor, currently in Ooty, expressed suspicion that there might be an underlying agenda behind her allegations.

“Initially, she alleged that I used offensive words against her. But now, she is alleging that I sexually assaulted her. She has changed her allegations against me when the Hema Committee report came out,” wrote Siddique in the complaint.

In related developments, another complaint has been submitted by a Vyttila resident, Ajikumar, demanding a case against Siddique and filmmaker Ranjith based on recent sexual misconduct allegations raised by two women actors.

During a media conference, Siddique also denied any sexual harassment complaints and stated that AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) would protect anyone who approached them. In response, an actor referred to Siddique as a “criminal”.

The controversy has led to Siddique stepping down from his position as the general secretary of AMMA, while other female actors have shared their experiences without explicitly naming individuals. The situation remains tense as investigations continue.
