The CNN reported on August 29, 2013, that famous Hollywood celebrity couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones broke up after 13 years of marriage. The couple had a really turbulent time with Douglas fighting off cancer and his wife suffering from bipolar disorder.
Reportedly, the 68-year-old Douglas mentioned, “Without wanting to get too specific, this particular cancer is caused by HPV, which actually comes about from oral sex.”
Even though a spokesman for Douglas previously mentioned that both of them were evaluating their relationship and are working upon their troubled relations, the recent speculations point out that both winners of Oscars are prepared for the split.
The 43-year-old actress Zeta-Jones got married to Douglas in November 2000. She had been supporting Douglas since 2010 when he was diagnosed with cancer. After Douglas recovered from his illness, he found that his spouse was inflicted with bipolar II disorder.
The People magazine reported that just after their return from the Cannes Film Festival, the couple decided to spend some time in separation. An insider said that the couple calls it a “break”. They haven’t yet filed for an official divorce.
