‘Zanjeer’ and ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ movie review and box-office collections report

This Friday, September 6, 2013, two Hindi movies “Shuddh Desi Romance” and “Zanjeer” remake are releasing in India and across the world.

“Shuddh Desi Romance” directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles.

Movie “Zanjeer” is the remake of 1973 blockbuster Hindi movie starring megastar of the same name. The movie marks the debut of Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan in the lead role along with former Miss World Priyanka Chopra and Prakash Raj.

“Zanjeer” will also release in Telugu as “Toofan”. The Telugu version got a A certificate from the censor board while the Hindi version was awarded a U/A certificate.

With both movies releasing on the same day, it is still not clear which movie will occupy how many screens. While “Chennai Express” which became the biggest grosser of Indian cinema is still occupying large number of screens and multiplexes across India and running to full houses.

A lot is expected out of Ram Charan Teja’s “Zanjeer” which also stars Sanjay Dutt who is behind bars.

A bonus for those who go to watch “Shuddh Desi Romance” is that a teaser trailer of “Dhoom 3” will be attached with the film.

“Zanjeer” is expected to do better business at the box-office than “Shuddh Desi Romance”. We will update the 1st day and 2nd day box-office collections of both the movies here. Watch this space.
