The Hindi movie “Grand Masti” starring Vivek Oberoi, Maryam Zakaria, Aftab Shivdasani, Sonalee Kulkarni, Riteish Deshmukh and Bruna Abdullah will be released in India and across the world on September 13, 2013.
The movie is a sequel to the 2004 adult comedy Hindi flick ‘Masti’ directed by Indrakumar.
The movie revolves around three married men Vivek Oberoi, Aftab and Riteish Deshmukh as Amar who go out for a outdoor fun trip but just to be trapped in a danger.
According to sources close to the production unit, the movie is a remake of Hollywood movie “American Reunion”.
In a sudden development on Tuesday, the Punjab and Haryana High Court ordered a stay on the release of movie in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh based on a complaint from a lawyer that the movie contained vulgar dialogues and obscene content. He also said that the movies promo was degrading to women in the country, and that the content of the movie was indecent.
The movie is expected to do well at the box-office as only another two movies which have no top stars will be released on that day.
The other two movies to be released on the same day are “Horror Story” and Naseeruddin Shah, Randeep Hooda starrer “Johnday”.
