Hindi Action thriller “Pathaan” directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films has raked in a whopping Rs 448.25 crores domestically after 17 days as of February 11, 2023.

Pathaan has raised over ₹900 cr gross at the worldwide global box office, Yash Raj Films has shared in a press note. YRF said that the Siddharth Anand directorial raised ₹5.90 crore nett in India on its third Friday.

₹ 50 cr: Day 1, ₹ 100 cr: Day 2, ₹ 150 cr: Day 3, ₹ 200 cr: Day 4, ₹ 250 cr: Day 5, ₹ 300 cr: Day 7, ₹ 350 cr: Day 9 ₹ 400 cr: Day 12.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh in his latest tweet revealed the day-wise figures. He tweeted, “#Pathaan packs a SOLID PUNCH in Week 2… The absence of major films this week should prove advantageous, especially on [third] Sat and Sun… [Week 2] Fri 13.50 cr, Sat 22.50 cr, Sun 27.50 cr, Mon 8.25 cr, Tue 7.50 cr, Wed 6.50 cr, Thu 5.75 cr. Total: ₹ 442.50 cr.

‘Pathan’ audience response

The audience response has been overwhelming throughout the day of the release, particularly among the youth action fans. Shahrukh Khan fans finally got a taste of the breathtaking action sequences in the film.

‘Pathaan’ plot

The film revolves around the heroics of Pathaan, an exiled RAW agent who must work with ISI agent Rubina [Deepika Padukone] to take down Jim [John Abraham], a former RAW agent-turned-traitor, who is planning to spread a deadly lab-generated virus across Indian cities. In a nail-biting finish, Pathaan will successfully dispose of the threat in the last seconds.

Shahrukh Khan did not forget to thank his fans with gratitude in a recent media briefing he held along with his other co-stars. The Indian Express quoted him as saying, “The four years that I had… Covid had good and bad parts. I didn’t work. I was with my children. I saw them grow up. My last film had not worked, and people had said my movies now won’t work. So, I thought of an alternate career: cooking Italian…in these four days, I’ve forgotten my last four years.”
