'Ruslaan': Delhi Court Serves Notice To Salman Khan's Brother-in-law Ayush Sharma

After hearing an objection to their upcoming film “Ruslaan,” a Delhi court on Friday, May 26, issued a notice to South Indian actor Jagpathi Babu, producer K. K. Radhamohan, and Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s brother-in-law and actor Ayush Sharma.

The Ruslaan Controversy

Through their attorney Rudra Vikram Singh, social activist Jagdish Sharma and actor Raajveer Sharma sought an injunction to halt the marketing of Radhamohan’s film “Ruslaan.”

It has been claimed that “Ruslaan” is a replica of the original 2009 film “Ruslaan,” directed by Jagdish Sharma and starring Raajveer Sharma.

Megha Chatterjee, the daughter of renowned actress Moushumi Chatterjee, had the lead role in the 2009 film “Ruslaan.”

According to the plea, the accused plagiarized the dialogue and plot of the original “Ruslaan.”

Court’s Decision

While hearing the plea, Satyabrata Panda, Additional District Judge, Patiala House Court, sent notices to each defendant and ordered them to respond within a week. A hearing on the subject has been scheduled for June 9.

The movie, which is directed by Katyayan Shivpuri, is set to be released in 2023 and will star actors Aayush Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and Sushrii Mishraa in the key parts. Aayush made his Bollywood debut in 2018 with the romantic comedy “Loveyatri,” in which he co-starred with Warina Hussain, another newcomer. The Abhiraj Maniawala-directed picture, which Salman Khan produced, did not do well at the box office.

He also appeared with Salman Khan and Mahima Makwana in the action-thriller movie “Antim: The Final Truth.”

As per IndiaTV, on April 21, a trailer for this forthcoming film of Ayush Sharma starring Sushri Mishra and Telugu icon Jagapathi Babu was made public.
