Nuh, Haryana (August 3, 2023) – The violence that erupted in Haryana’s Nuh district on Monday was a “well-planned conspiracy”, according to one of the first information reports (FIR) registered against unknown persons.

The FIR, which was registered by a police officer who was present at the scene of the violence, states that a crowd of about 600-700 people attacked the police and pilgrims who were on their way to a religious site. The mob also pelted stones at the police and set fire to several vehicles.

The FIR further states that the mob was armed with sticks, stones, and firearms. The police officer who filed the FIR said that he and his colleagues were outnumbered and outgunned by the mob.

Two Home Guard jawans were killed in the violence, while one unknown person has also died. A large number of police personnel have been injured.

Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij has called the violence a “well-planned conspiracy” and said that the state government will not spare anyone who is found guilty.

The police have arrested several people in connection with the violence, but the investigation is still ongoing.

The violence in Nuh has sparked widespread condemnation. The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the Haryana government seeking a report on the incident.

The violence has also raised questions about the security situation in Haryana. The state has been plagued by communal violence in recent years.

In 2022, there were several incidents of violence between Hindus and Muslims in Nuh district. The violence in Nuh is a reminder of the need for communal harmony and tolerance in Haryana.
