DC upcoming movie 'Blue Beetle' getting lack of promotion, latin groups come to rescue

DC’s blockbuster movie “Blue Beetle” is about to hit theaters, but due to a lack of publicity due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike, Latino groups are banding together to support it.

The Blue Beetle will be DC’s biggest production this summer. But the movie’s revenue prospects remain questionable with little publicity for the upcoming movie. This is because the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes are holding Hollywood back, meaning business is now closed, no movies, no screenings and of course no ads for future content.

But some Latino groups are doing their best to support the DC movie. cosmic bomb explosion.

A group of 27 Hollywood Latino organizations has released an open letter asking Latinos in general to write the “Blue Beetle” writer loud and cast, promoting the film on social media, Variety reports.

Letter says, “We invite you to join us in our joint effort to support the hard work of countless Latino artists.” The message asks people to tell the actors when the movie can’t support their own movie. Signatories to the letter include the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), the Los Angeles Collaborative Lab, the Latino Film Institute, the National Latino Association of Independent Producers (NALIP), and the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC).

DC Studios and Warner Bros movie

The film industry will be pleased with the Latino group’s move, especially given the ongoing uncertainty about “The Blue Beetle” box office performance. Initial estimates put the film in the $12-15 million opening range, but industry experts now estimate the opening weekend total could exceed $30 million. Recent evidence also suggests that DC movie has had a huge impact on indie awareness, with a measure of audience response yet to come.

Meanwhile, if “Blue Beetle” hits revenue estimates, there are strong hints that eccentric hero Xolo Maridueña will continue to play superhero roles in future DCU projects.
