For all the romance anime enthusiasts there’s good news! A new romance anime named “A Sign of Affection” which is a college love story is expected to release in 2024, it being made by Studio Aijado and they have also released an official promotional video and details about their cast.

The trailer is released on Mainichi (MBS) Broadcasting’s YouTube channel. This anime series is an adaptation from a manga series by Suu Morishita. The story is about a girl named Yuki Itose who is a deaf college student and her upperclassman Itsuomi Nagi.

“A Sign of Affection” Release Date 

According to Anime News Network, the upcoming series called “A Sign of Affection” is scheduled to premiere on Tokyo MX and MBS in January 2024. For those in the United States the first episode will be screened at Anime NYC 2023 which will take place from November 17th to 19th. Following its airing in Japan, Crunchyroll will stream the show on its application.

“A Sign of Affection”: Voice Actors And Cast Members 

The cast for the series includes Takeo Otsuka, Ryota Ohsaka and Kaede Hondo. Takeo Otsuka, known for his role as Lauda Niell, in Mobile Suit Gundam; The Witch From Mercury will be voicing Yuki’s childhood friend named Oshi Ashioki. Ryota Ohsaka, recognized for playing Marco Bodt in Attack on Titan will lend his voice to Itsuomis cousin Kyouya Nagi. 

Kaede Hondo (known from Welcome to Demon School, Iruma kun and Strike the Blood) will portray Rin Fujishiro, who’s Yuki’s college friend. The main characters Yuki Itose and Itsuomi Nagi will be played by Sumire Morohoshi and Yu Miyazaki respectively.

Kohei Honda, known for his work in Chaos;Child will be in charge as the art director for this project. The team of animation directors includes Kasumi Sakai (known for Aikatsu!) Yuki Noshioka (recognized for How Not to Summon a Demon Lord) Emiko Endo (renowned for Dream Festival) Kazue Tamari ( for The End of Evangelion) and Kanako Tsuji (noted for Ascendance of a Bookworm).

For the sign language scenes there will be another team of animators. This team consists of Yoshiaki Yanagida (who worked on Inuyasha the Movie; Affections Touching Across Time) Masaya Fujimori (known for Pokemon; The First Movie) and Yuki Miyamoto (recognized for Ascendance of a Bookworm).

Yuta Murano, director of Seven Days War has been chosen to direct this anime project. Yoko Yonaiyama, known for her work on “The Ancient Magus Bride” is responsible for writing the scripts and overseeing the series as a whole.
