There is good news for BLINKS. BLACKPINK member Jisoo will reportedly star in an upcoming movie titled Omniscient Reader. The K-pop idol is currently in talks to take on the role. This will be Jisoo’s first role in a big project. She will reportedly play the role of Lee Ji Hae. According to reports, the upcoming project will also feature Nana, Ahn Hyo Seop, Chae Soo Bin, and Jung Sung Il.

Based on the Korean webtoon of the same name, Omniscient Reader tells the story of a reader who finds himself in the world of a novel he is reading. His life is turned upside down when a fictional story becomes reality, and he is the only one who knows how the world will end. Dokja uses his knowledge to change the story and survive.

The webtoon was released in 2018 and is still considered one of the most popular webtoons. For the uninitiated, Ahn Hyo Seop is known for his series, including Business Proposal, Dr Romantic, A Time Called You and Still 17, while Nana was last seen in the dark thriller Mask Girl.

Aside from this upcoming project, Jisoo will next be seen in another K-drama called Influenza. You will see her alongside Park Jun Ming, who is widely regarded as one of the best actors of his generation. The Flu will be based on the novel of the same name and will take place mostly in the Air Defense Building in Seoul. The drama will be based on a soldier and his ex-girlfriend finding themselves in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.

Jisoo will play the role of Young Joo, whose boyfriend is in the military and leads a K-Drama. The Flu was written by acclaimed screenwriter Han Ji Won, known for her role in the critically acclaimed Parasite. Despite the buzz surrounding the drama, an official air date has yet to be announced.
