Kareena Kapoor has revealed that her most challenging role was in the 2009 film “Kurbaan”, where she had to shoot a sex scene with her husband, Saif Ali Khan.
In a recent interview, Kareena revealed how she felt while filming the intimate scene and how Saif supported her. She said doing such a scene was difficult for her, especially with someone she loved and respected. She said she had to trust Saif and the director, Rensil D’Silva, who assured her that the scene would be shot aesthetically and tastefully.
Kareena said to News18, she was nervous and anxious before the shoot, but Saif calmed her down and made her comfortable. He told her they were professionals and had to do justice to their characters. He also reminded her that they had done a similar scene in Tashan, where they fell in love. Kareena said Saif’s words helped her relax and focus on the scene.
She said the scene was shot in intense and passionate, one take. She said that she felt a lot of emotions while doing the scene, such as love, fear, anger, and pain. She said that she was proud of herself and Saif for pulling off such a difficult scene with grace and dignity.
Kareena said that the scene was an important part of the film’s story, as it showed the bond between their characters, who were caught in a web of terrorism and betrayal. She said the scene was not meant to be vulgar or sensational but to convey the depth of their relationship. She said that she hoped that the audience would appreciate their efforts and understand their artistic vision.
