'Salaar' vs 'KGF': Which film will rule the box office?

Get ready for an action spectacle that dwarfs even the gold-laden mines of KGF! According to the cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, the upcoming Pan-Indian film “Salaar Part 1: CeaseFire” is gearing up to be five times bigger than Yash’s blockbuster KGF.

Gowda, who lensed the ambitious project, dropped jaws with his statement, likening the scale of Salaar to building a second Ramoji Film City. He elaborated on constructing a massive set in Dandumailaram, Telangana, spanning 100 acres. This, along with a half-kilometer wall erected for the film, has led Gowda to confidently predict Salaar’s potential to be five times the size of KGF in terms of visual grandeur.

“Technically, we’re on a different level,” Gowda declared, further fueling the hype surrounding “Salaar”. He emphasized the film’s reliance on practical sets (95%) with minimal CGI (5%), promising a truly immersive cinematic experience. This commitment to practical effects, coupled with the sheer scale of the sets, has many speculating that “Salaar” might set a new benchmark for production design in Indian cinema.

Starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, “Salaar” tells the story of a violent rebel and his journey through a ruthless world. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the mastermind behind the KGF phenomenon, Salaar is already generating immense buzz with its action-packed trailer and chart-topping music.

With Gowda’s bold claims and the film’s impressive pedigree, Salaar is poised to be a game-changer in the Indian film industry. Its release on December 22, 2023, promises to be an event not to be missed.
