Salaar” has finally arrived! After much anticipation, the action-packed, drama-infused film premiered on December 22, 2023.

Cast:

“Salaar” features a star-studded cast that includes Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, Ramachandra Raju, and others.

Prabhas plays the titular role of Deva alias “Salaar”, a gang leader who tries to keep a promise made to his dying friend and takes on the other criminal gangs.

Plot:

The story is set in the city of Khansaar, where Raja Mannar plans to make his son Vardha as his successor. However, Raja Mannar’s ministers and advisors plot a coup d’état by hiring armies from Russia and Serbia to attack and kill Vardha and Raja. Vardha, along with his brother and a few trusted men loyal to him and his father, manages to escape from Khansaar. Vardha goes to his childhood best friend Deva, who learns about his predicament and sets out to make him the undisputed successor of Khansaar.

The flick is a visual spectacle with high-octane action sequences and stunning cinematography. The music is composed by Ravi Basrur, who also scored the KGF films. The film has been shot in various locations across India, including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Jodhpur, Ladakh, and Goa.

The film was released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages and was certified as A rated by the Censor Board for its violent content.
