The complainant, Sanjay Tiwari, filed the complaint at the Ghatkopar police station through his lawyers Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra. He alleges that Kapoor’s actions were “deliberate and malicious” and that they “hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.”
Tiwari further claims that Kapoor’s chanting of “Jai Mata Di” while setting the cake on fire was an attempt to “mix Hinduism with Christianity,” which he considers disrespectful.
