“Killer Soup,” a new Netflix original series starring Manoj Bajpayee in a double role and Konkona Sen Sharma started streaming on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
The show directed by Abhishek Chaubey which also stars Nassar revolves around a mysterious serial killer who uses a poisonous soup to murder his victims.
The darkly comedic thriller ‘Killer Soup’ follows the story of Manju (Konkana Sen Sharma), an ambitious home cook whose culinary dreams hit a dead end.
Enters Umesh (Manoj Bajpayee), a charismatic stranger who sparks passion and a risky plan to reshape her life, with unsuspecting husband Prabhakar (also played by Bajpayee) caught in the middle
The show also features a steamy kissing scene between Manoj and Konkana, which has created a lot of buzz on social media.
Manoj Bajpayee, who plays the role of a forensic expert, recently opened up about the kissing scene in an interview with Jagran English. He said that he and Konkona Sen Sharma are good friends and they did the scene with utmost professionalism.
He also said that he does not understand why people are making a big deal out of it, when the world is on the moon. He said that the scene was necessary for the story and that he respects the director’s vision.
In an interview with TimeNow, On asked about the kissing scene with Konkana Manoj replied,
“Haven’t I kissed any of my co-stars before? I’ve done so many films, I don’t remember. What does my wife have to say about the kisses?
” She has seen the entire series and is aware of the kisses between Konkona and me. The thing is, these scenes are organic to the plot. And why are we still discussing kissing scenes in India when the world has moved to the moon?” asks Manoj.
“Killer Soup” is a gripping and twisted tale of crime and passion, that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
